Kirill Alekseenko won the first 7 games and the drew the final 3 to claim clear first place in the Chessable Sunway Sitges Open with 8.5/10. It came down to the wire as Hans Niemann had winning chances against Kirill in the final round, but his 8/10 means he’ll now officially be a 2700 player on January 1st. Amin Tabatabaei lost out to Hans in a tiebreak for 3rd, but still stormed back after forfeiting the 1st game.
